London Town
I'm in London, and it's all rather good. For those of you just joining our program, I lived here for about two and half years back in 2000, and I had a great time. It's dirty, crowded, expensive, smelly and slowly falling to pieces, but it's also crammed full of history, style, art and good friends of mine. I have a short list of things to do while I'm here, but I'm not that serious about them. I'm really here to just hang out with friends, have a few good dinners, and to chat up classy Eastern European women who are interested in new lives in a harem in Australia.
I am playing with the idea of getting out of London for a day or two next week though, to somewhere like Bath or Bristol. I'd always wanted to visit The Eden Project out in Cornwall, although I think I might need a car to make it all the way there without performing grotesque physical services for a hairy truck driver named Horace while I'm hitch hiking.
I'm making a few plans for Thailand (finally) now that I'm not running in circles screaming like a little girl, trying to get everything packed. It looks like Koh Tao is the island for diving, so I'll try and get out there for a few days, wave at some fishies and maybe even do my PADI Open Water course. Whether Koh Tao is also the island for Swedish backpacker girls with loose morals remains to be seen.
