Crysis Comparisons
Crysis fan site inCrysis has some fairly amazing screenshot and real life comparison images for the upcoming shooter, showing beaches, valleys, rivers and forests next to their real life counterparts. The detail and complexity of the game's environment is stunning, although I suspect I'll need a new Tiny God to play it at any reasonable pace. Maybe not so tiny. The other worrisome thing about Crysis is that it's one of the first DirectX 10 games, which will not only require a new graphics card, but will also require Vista, as DX10 isn't being implemented on any other platform. Crysis will also run using DirectX 9, which will allow it to run on XP, albeit at reduced quality. This isn't really great news for graphics sluts like myself, although I suppose there's no way I won't be running Vista on a DX10 capable card at some stage in the future... hopefully when they actually have real drivers for it though.
