New York Magazine has an interesting feature article called The Profit Calculator, where they examine the income, profit, expenses and losses of a wide variety of NY organizations. They look at all kinds of people, from a cab driver, a major international financial institution and even a meth dealer. I found the page on the Silver Star diner the most interesting, for its comments on menu size and the comparison of its most and least profitable items.
