The Gathering Storm
The 2003 Rugby World Cup starts tomorrow, with Argentina playing Australia at Telstra Stadium in Sydney. It's not really an important game in the overall scheme of the tournament (unless the Wallabies completely choke and lose) but for me, it looms as an ominous psychic marker, signalling the beginning of the end of my time in Brisbane. I only have about eight weeks, and I'm working nine to five all that time too, so if you actually want to spend any time with me before I go, you better not muck around.
Lab4 were great as usual last friday night, but they were only on stage for about an hour. The rest of the evening was pretty disappointing, with no chillout area, a dodgy crowd, and painfully loud sound systems smashing everyone's head into little pieces. Stupid venue, The Arena.
