The Street Value of this Mountain
It's not really surprising when Canada gets a tad chilly in the winter, but lately temperatures in places like Winnipeg and Saskatoon have been dropping below -30 degrees celcius, which is just plain silly. Vancouver doesn't even get close to those depths (in fact it usually top scores on the morning temperature map) but I am seeing a lot of very uncomfortable weathermen being interviewed out of doors lately. Hopefully they have a large cup of hot chocolate waiting off-camera.
In other snow-related news, we've actually booked a weekend up at Whistler, where we will be trying to avoid damaging ourselves or others on the ski slopes. Technically I've snowboarded before, but I am under no illusions about my ability (or lack of it). Should be fun though, as long as I don't fall into a glacier.
