Blind Ambition

As if driven to the edge of despair by the presence of my new Xbox, my laptop decided to completely freak out last night. The screen now won't turn on anymore, which is a bit of a problem. I'm hopeful that it's only a broken dimmer switch on the hinge, not a blown LCD screen or some other frighteningly expensive problem. The crazy thing is that the screen is actually working - it's just very, very dim. It was just bright enough for me to hook the s-video up to the TV and see things from there, but the picture quality there is simply diabolical. Using it is like having broken glass rubbed into my eyes. However, it should be enough for me to back everything up before I send it all in to see if it can be fixed. I might want to remove all that goat porn on there, too.
